We believe that a focus on Education is the best gift that we can give to the children and young adults. Haiti’s greatest resource is the youth of tomorrow! We are determined to lend a hand to help the children of Haiti rise out of poverty, not through charity but through education.
These costs are impossible for nearly 80% of all Haitian families and render school as unattainable. As a result, an estimated 600,000 children are illiterate. In response to this, since 2008, ARCF schooling ministry has partnered at five Faith-based schools to overcome some of these varied challenges.
School Tools
Most teachers spend their resources each year on school supplies for students who could never afford to provide for themselves. School Tools provides backpacks filled with necessary school supplies for the children so that they can be better equipped to learn.
You can lead a group from your neighborhoods, church or corporation that is willing to provide basic school supplies to help children who live in poverty in Haiti. When children have their own school supplies, it builds self-esteem.
Help Us Raise Them Up

Give a well
Haiti’s widespread lack of access to safe drinking water and poor sanitation is the leading cause of infant mortality and illness in children. Many children, especially those living in rural areas, do not in fact have any drinking water. The situation is frightening in some urban areas. For example, residents of Delmas, a community bordering Port-au-Prince, have access to only one source of clean water and have to pay $.0.50/ cents to fill up a 20-liter bucket — about the size of an office water cooler. But few people can afford that price.
In rural areas nearly every water source has become contaminated with human and animal waste because of the absence of a sewage sanitation system. DONATE a well there would be lifesaving. The average cost for digging a well is $5,900 US Dollars.

In Haiti, there is a huge gap in the quality of education children receive. Eighty percent of schools are private, but only a small minority of children and young people have access to the more sophisticated and well-equipped private system. Consequently, illiteracy plays an important role in deepening the social and economic divide; illiterate citizens face even steeper challenges in accessing opportunities that would help them achieve better conditions for themselves and their children.
The majority of teachers in Haiti don’t have access to the new information technologies, like online research and online training. Generally, they teach without having a basic preparation, so that they can’t offer quality education,” explained Edzer Petit-Frere, coordinator of the ARCF after school program.
Because rebuilding a community starts with building the mind!
